Rachel + Jonathan

Roxbury, NY

The sweetness of a late summer's day in the Catskills is remarkable.  Feeling far from the hustle of the city, and a lack of phone reception to help in that beautiful isolation, brings all the focus in on the day at hand.  With humor and immense amounts of love, Rachel and Jonathan infused their day with an infectious amount of joy.  The two met in Pharmacy school in Eerie, PA (the most thoughtful couple, for example - the groom offers me Zyrtec, caring about my personal well being on their own wedding day!) - have since moved west to Oregon, but found the Catskills a perfect fit for the gathering of friends and family.  A crisp morning and lots of laughs with the ladies, followed by a sweet first look on the gorgeous porch of The Roxbury Barn and Estate, to a meandering adventure amongst the apple trees, and the exchange of vows in the pine grove.  The fun was really just beginning as the couple made their way back down to the gorgeous restored barn of the estate, where their friends and family awaited with drinks, local produced cheeses and appetizers, a cake made by the bride's cousin and dancing under the summer sky.  Truly the most romantic day tucked in the gorgeous hills of the Catskills.

Nahrae + Travis

Roxbury, NY

I awoke in a drafty country house in the Catskills to a golden field frozen over in glittering frost.  A bitter October morning with promising sunshine streaming through the autumn trees, I layer up and grab my camera to snag some frost shots.  As the morning wore on, the frost began to melt and I made my way back inside to warm up with some coffee and prep my gear for the wedding ahead.  Nahrae + Travis came to me at the perfect time a few months ago inquiring about their wedding date and that particular weekend had just opened up, lucky for both of us!  With their awesome energy and down to earth vibes, I instantly fell for these two long distance champs who met while serving in the Peace Corps.  When they said they were getting married at one of my favorite venues, The Roxbury Barn, that officially sealed the deal.  As I pulled up to the site, I'm greeted by a friendly face, Casper, who owns and runs this beautiful rustic estate.  From there, we jumped right in, anxious to capture this most gorgeous day.  Nahrae + Travis made everyone feel at home, and were never short of laughs throughout the day.  From their romantic and intimate woodland ceremony, to the cozy barn for food + festivities, followed by a full moon and bonfire on the hill.  What a perfect way to end this wonderful wedding season!
I adore you two!
