Have you ever seen a dog surf before? Little did I know that on my adventure shooting with Mel + Brandon (+ Brini) we would come upon some local pups prepping for the next day's surf competition. A very bright morning with not a cloud in the sky, we had a blast chilling and playing around beachside, capturing images of the couple in a very laid back, California style.

I decided to finally post this sweet + sunny session on this rainy day today, one of my favorite family shoots yet.  I met up with Kristin, Brandon and their daughter Karis to celebrate her first birthday.  With a beautiful cake, warm weather, and perfect styling by Kristin herself, it was a wonderful story to capture.  Not to mention the addition of Grandma and sister to complete the family fun.  So much love...
