Revisiting an Autumn adventure in Central Park with these two gems, reminds me just how lucky I am to get to capture their wedding day this weekend in NYC.  A rekindled love, the two met years ago when Julia first moved to New York City.  While the two hit it off upon meeting, life got in the way and it wasn't until nine years later that their friendship + love took off and they have yet to look back.  I'm thrilled for their next big adventure as the two tie the knot in LIC this weekend!

Did I mention that Julia is an incredible actress and singer? Thought I would put that in there too as I'm a huge fan! Check her out!!

Christina + Chris

Although Chris purposefully avoided going up to the firehouse kitchen to evade a certain ridicule from his fellow firemen, we definitely had fun starting our shoot at his home base, Engine 34 in NYC.  Christina and Chris were completely game to play on this sunny December morning as we made our way from Engine 34 to Central Park.  With a touch of autumn still in the air and a bit of Christmas around the corner, we took full advantage of the season as we wound our way through the park.  I'm already looking forward to their Tahoe wedding this coming summer!

Winter Wonder

that time we met in the park...

There is nothing quite like shooting in the snow. The conditions around you are constantly changing, like this scene for instance.  A perfect winter wonderland, every tree covered in a blanket of white, and then poof, gone within the two hours of shooting. Such fleeting beauty and a perfect challenge (as the snow melts on your subject and your camera).  Working with the balance of white bounce (as there is a lot of it), finding pops of color (the green vest), or contrasting imagery (the black umbrella) to that snowy backdrop, and lastly finding softer frames that blend the backdrop and subject beautifully.  Here are a few of my favorites from our outing in the Park...
